“First class service”

The engineers themselves offer a first class service and maintain a customer focused approach at all times. They deal with some very challenging customers but always maintain a professional approach. I have never had a customer complain about the service they have received from any of Newfield’s engineers.

Newfield are one of the only companies that make appointments to attend the site. The office staff are very helpful, always return calls and will do their best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

I recently changed from one location to another and if it had not been for Newfield I would have spent hours looking for various different things. Having the office staff and the engineer’s advice and support was invaluable.

I can’t think of any improvements that Newfield’s can make to an already outstanding service.

Although I have only been with Anchor for almost 5 years I did manage the day centres that are run from out of Anchor locations and even then the engineers were very helpful and tried to keep disruption down to a minimum. I really do hope that we keep Newfield, it won’t just be us scheme managers that are sad to see you go, I know the customers will feel it too”.

“Service has been impeccable”

“In the short time (Approximately 2 years) that I have been using Newfield as our preferred electrical contractor I can report that the service from my main contacts for quotes and installation / service has been impeccable.

During the main refurbishment program last year they were both reliable and professional in all they did for me.

Except for a couple of misunderstandings with the accuracy of invoices (mainly due to the extra cost of the use of apprentices undergoing training and equipment hire) all has been fine.

I suppose the remedy here is to make sure the cost implications are agreed and made absolutely clear with the customer prior to the commencement of work so there are no shocks.

Having said that, both issues were handle amicably to enable us to move on”.

“I have been at Anchor for over 8 years and have dealt with Newfield Electrical for all that time. I have always found Newfield to be extremely professional when working on site, and they have always rectified any problems that have occurred speedily and efficiently.

The engineers have always turned up on time for appointments and if for any reason they were unable to do so, I have always been notified in advance.

I also can always speak to an engineer over the phone to see if a problem can be resolved without an engineer having to attend site.

“I would like to say that I have always received excellent service from every engineer that has been to my scheme in Gloucestershire. They have all been so good.

The engineer who attends when we have a problem has never left with the fault not repaired even when it has meant him working in torrential rain and it is always good to see him. The Project Manager has been superb – liaising with everyone particularly when we had the new Fire Alarm System installed and was always on the end of the phone with reassurances.

The Fire Alarm Service engineer is always cheerful, coming regularly to carry out the quarterly servicing tests and keeps everything running smoothly. Office staff have always been flexible in arranging service times to fit in with my hours of work which I have greatly appreciated.

In an extremely heavy rainstorm, because of a blocked gully, water poured into the third floor corridor of our scheme and travelled down the wiring conduits onto the second floor corridors.  The event happened at 8pm on Tuesday 19th June and the scheme manager called out another company because of the potential risk to tenants from the water and the risk of electrocution.  The company’s response was that because of the weather conditions they could not send anybody out for Health and Safety reasons.

Newfield Electrical responded to the emergency fire alarm call out and travelled from Birmingham.  The scheme manager with the assistance of the engineer, isolated the top and second floor electrical circuits, then went up on the flat section of the roof, cleared the blocked gully drains and stopped the flooding.  Fortunately, only the corridor was flooded and none of the tenant’s flats.  The engineer was on site until after midnight clearing up and helping to ensure the safety of the scheme.

Given the ferocity of the storm it is perhaps understandable why the company were unwilling to call anyone out but similarly it could be argued that your engineer and the scheme manager should not have gone on the roof and put themselves at risk.  The response and concern by Newfield Electrical for our tenants is to be highly commended.  Calling the Fire Brigade was not considered appropriate as they were likely to be very busy and may have considered the clearing of drainage gullies not to be part of their remit.

I would fully support the placing of electrical or fire alarm contracts with your company”.

They attended Abbey Court at short notice due to a failing lounge lights and several emergency lights. They had to come back to the scheme due to the lights tripping and came back in a quick time response.

They corrected the issue and even contacted us the next morning to ensure everything was still working. On all visits the contractors were polite and hardworking even though the problem at hand was tasking.
